What you'll learn
Cancer care is one area of clinical care being transformed by advances in genomic research. In this session, Mark Lewis will share the progress being made at Intermountain Healthcare, a pioneer in both IT innovation and precision medicine. The session will report on how Intermountain is developing an IT platform that provides an architecture to enable the latest advances in research to be shared with clinicians. Among the topics covered are the evolution of the EMR and the creation of a robust data warehouse.
Learning objectives:
• Learn how the IT platform enables precision oncology to be used at the point of care
• Illustrate how the systematic application of precision oncology and capture of patient outcomes demonstrated improved progression-free survival in late-stage cancer patients without increasing cost of care
