With over 30 years of professional information security experience working for hundreds of clients on projects to create effective strategies, enterprise security and data protection programs, governance models, and a set of effective, proven business and security processes that are in use at hundreds of companies today, Fred Langston, CISSP, CCSK, has long been at the forefront of information security. He participated in a working group that contributed to the proposed HIPAA security rule, has lead security sessions at HIMSS where he, as a part of the Risk Management Alliance, presented the seminal paper “The Unified Approach to Compliance” launching the now ubiquitous regulatory ‘cross-walk’ approach, and was an original member of the HITRUST Alliance Alternate Controls Committee.
Fred is also experienced as a Product Manager having created many well-known managed security services and has been instrumental in developing the new generation of security services - Managed Detection and Response.

Michael Hamilton, CISSP, has 30 years of experience in information security, as a practitioner, consultant, executive and entrepreneur. As former Chief Information Security Officer for the City of Seattle, Michael managed information security policy, strategy, and operations for 30 government agencies. Prior, Michael was the Managing Consultant for VeriSign Global Security Consulting and in that role provided expertise for hundreds of organizations, from Fortune 100 to small private colleges, and in nearly every sector.
Michael is former Vice-Chair for the DHS State, Local, Tribal and Territorial Government Coordinating Council. His awards include Member of the Year with the Association of City and County Information Systems (ACCIS), and Collaboration Award from the Center for Digital Government. Michael recently served as a Policy Advisor for the State of Washington Office of the CIO.
