Legacy Health is a locally owned, nonprofit health system that provides health services across the Portland and Vancouver metro areas, as well as mid-Willamette Valley. With six hospitals, 70 clinics, 3,000 clinicians and 14,000 employees, Legacy is a large and growing health provider that is experiencing substantial data growth within their Epic EHR and clinical systems. To meet future requirements, Legacy reimagined their infrastructure with an eye toward reducing risk, lowering costs, and leveraging public cloud.

Robert grew up in Cleveland, Ohio and began his career at IBM in Research Triangle Park, NC. After developing the first IBM SGML documentation to single-source for 11 outputs, for the NetView product, Robert transitioned to Tivoli Professional Services, where he implemented enterprise management such as Y2K remediation for AT&T. Later in his career, he shifted into management and looked after IBM Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) support, where he authored dozens of Tech Notes before being hired away as the global enterprise architect for an IT outsourcing firm. Today, Robert works for Legacy Health Systems as a Storage and Backup Engineer in the IS Infrastructure group.
