Dr. Karen Murphy is executive vice president, chief innovation officer and founding director of the Steele Institute for Health Innovation at Geisinger. Dr. Murphy has worked to improve and transform healthcare delivery throughout her career in both the public and private sectors. Before joining Geisinger, she served as Pennsylvania’s secretary of health addressing the most significant health issues facing the state, including the opioid epidemic. Prior to her role as secretary, Dr. Murphy served as director of the State Innovation Models Initiative at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services leading a $990 million CMS investment designed to accelerate health care innovation across the United States. She previously served as president and chief executive officer of the Moses Taylor Health Care System in Scranton, and as founder and chief executive officer of Physicians Health Alliance, Inc., an integrated medical group practice within Moses Taylor.
As chief innovation officer, Dr. Murphy leads Geisinger’s deep commitment to innovation, one of the organization’s four principle values along with kindness, excellence and learning to fulfill the mission of caring.

Scott Weingarten, MD, MPH, is the Acting Chief Executive Officer at Stanson Health, a Premier Company. Board certified in internal medicine and a fellow of the American College of Physicians, Dr. Weingarten has published approximately 100 articles and editorials on healthcare quality improvement and related topics. Dr. Weingarten was the co-founder, president and chief executive officer of Zynx Health, which is now the market share leader for order sets and care plans.After graduating from UCLA’s medical school, Dr. Weingarten completed his internship, residency and fellowship in internal medicine at Cedars-Sinai. He later participated in a National Center for Health Services Research Fellowship at the RAND/UCLA Center for Health Policy Study. During the fellowship, he also earned a master’s of Public Health degree at the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health.

Jeremy has more than 20 years of clinical medical practice, population health, and healthcare IT experience. A practicing, board-certified family physician, Dr. Orr was named a “Top 100 Physician” during his time with Kaiser Permanente, and then went on to launch a medical practice that became part of Centura Health. While an Assistant Professor at the University of Colorado, he was selected as Teacher of the Year by residents. Prior to joining Medial, Jeremy served as the CMO of Boston based clinical data analytics firm Humedica (later Optum Analytics) and CMO of Los Angeles based clinical decision support company Stanson Health. Jeremy earned his MD at University at Buffalo and his MPH at Tulane.

Neil serves as President of Healthbox and Executive Vice President of HIMSS. As President of Healthbox, he is responsible for leading the company mission to empower the reinvention of healthcare through innovation consulting and fund management services. Neil joined Healthbox in 2015 and successfully led the company through the transition from accelerator to an innovation services organization. Most recently, Neil spearheaded Healthbox’s acquisition by HIMSS, the global leader in transforming health through information and technology, in 2018.
Neil plays an active role with Healthbox’s consulting and fund management groups. On the consulting side, he has led digital strategy and innovation strategy engagements for several integrated delivery networks. On the fund management side, Neil works closely with Healthbox’s digital health portfolio companies to advise on general management matters, fundraising, and business development.
In addition to his responsibilities at Healthbox, Neil is an Executive Vice President of HIMSS. His responsibilities at the enterprise level includes collaboration with adjacent HIMSS business units (e.g. HIMSS Analytics, Health 2.0) and innovation-related thought leadership.
Prior to joining Healthbox, Neil worked at The Chartis Group, where he developed enterprise strategic plans for children's hospitals, integrated delivery networks, and academic medical centers. Neil started his career at Sg2 in a technology evaluation and consulting role, focusing on surgical services, operations, and enterprise strategic planning.
Neil holds a BS in Biomedical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University and an MBA with concentrations in finance, healthcare, and entrepreneurship from The Kellogg School of Management.
