Gary Melville has over 30 years of experience in the Healthcare Information Systems industry. During this tenure he has had the opportunity to lead Application Development, Integration Development, Integration Support, Application Support and Quality Assurance teams. In his current role as Director of Integration Engineering, he is responsible for the integration of Intermountain Healthcare’s clinical and financial systems. He is also responsible for integrating all of Intermountain’s clinical devices with their EMR. Gary and his teams create and support integrations using numerous technologies and standards such as HL7, FHIR, CCD and HIE.
When Intermountain Healthcare selected Cerner as their EMR and Financial solution, Gary led the successful efforts of the design and development of over 100 integrations that were required for the implementation. He was also responsible for the conversion and migration of clinical, business and financial data from Intermountain’s legacy systems into Cerner Millennium. Gary earned his BS in Computer Science from Utah State University.

John Pappas is the Director of Enterprise Integration at Mass General Brigham. He brings over 35 years of IT experience focusing on Healthcare Integration, large-scale financial systems and digital banking applications including ATM networks, International Banking and Fed Funds trading. He has a software development background working in many different technologies throughout his career. John managed the development of Mass General Brigham’s Clinical Data Repository and serves as Integration Architect for their Enterprise EHR. John championed the adoption of a robust API layer at Mass General Brigham in the 1990s which enabled countless digital, research and innovation efforts for the past 25 years. In his current role, John is responsible for many aspects of systems architecture, development and integration across the enterprise. In addition to his direct responsibilities, John represents Mass General Brigham on the HL7/FHIR Argonaut Steering Committee and the Epic App Orchard Council. John holds an AS in Management Information Systems from Northeastern University.

Tim Hudak brings over 20 years’ experience in HealthCare IT, primarily focused on providing direction and overseeing Data Integration solutions. In his current role as Director of Data Integration for Ascension Technologies he is responsible for a multitude of integration products delivering approximately 1 billion messages a month across 6,000 end-points supporting Ascension’s 2,600 sites of care – including 150 hospitals and more than 50 senior living facilities – in 20 states and the District of Columbia.
Tim and his team have been tasked with consolidating their integration platforms to create an optimized healthcare integration delivery model utilizing standardized development processes that will result in increased reliability, expand their current capabilities, and reduce operating costs.
